Suddenly and unexpectedly, the “Antonio Pitter“ hydroelectric power station appears, a surviving example of industrial archaeology from the early 1900s. This disused power station is not only open to the public to admire its perfectly preserved components, such as turbines, generators and other machinery; it is also a living structure, as in recent years it has been turned into a cultural and scientific centre, with exhibitions and workshops for children and adults.

Like many industrial works of its kind, the plant has evolved from the steel and brickwork providing the water power that once contributed significantly to the development of our region, to feed the thoughts and fuel the emotions of modern man, a more intangible but important contribution to the cultural values of the community.
