A short detour takes you to the Germanic Memorial in Pinzano, a walk worth taking for the panoramic view it offers. The unfinished mausoleum, built to house the remains of German and Austrian soldiers from World War I, is also a vantage point from which to marvel at the lush nature that surrounds you: the wild Tagliamento river, the mountains and hills, the villages and towns that tell a story of peace in contrast with the memories of war.
